Staying up-to-date on vaccinations is the most important thing we all can do to protect ourselves from serious illness due to COVID-19. It’s particularly crucial for older adults and people with disabilities.
People with moderately to severely compromised immune systems are especially vulnerable to COVID-19, and may not build the same level of immunity from the standard primary vaccine series as people who are not immunocompromised. Therefore, CDC recommends an additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for everyone who is moderately or severely immunocompromised at the time of vaccination. Find the latest CDC vaccination recommendations for people who are immunocompromised. Additional vaccination resources can be found through our partners at the Administration for Community Living.
